Airplane Valentine - Free Printable!


I was sitting and waiting at the orthodontist last week (one of the many places at which I seem to sit and wait these days) when I discovered a surprisingly great selection of current magazines!  Inside this month's Country Living I found these adorable paper airplane valentines.  It included a template and instructions on how to fold them.  I decided to make some for my kids -  especially the 8th grade boy.  He needs to know I still love him, even though he's almost six feet tall and wears a size 14 shoe.  Maybe I'll even put it in his lunchbox :-)

You can embarrass your own teenager or delight your younger ones by printing out this free PDF HERE, on the Country Living website.

After you have folded the airplane, a simple paperclip placed below the wings will hold the plane together nicely.

Happy New Year!  We are off to a cold start! It's so cold that the Governor cancelled school for the entire state! That never happens. Cute Cupcake Boxes!

I love to bake cupcakes and so, in an effort to prevent us from eating them all, I am always looking for cute and practical ways to give them away! I was thrilled to find these adorable cupcake boxes at Michael's !  The cupcake boxes come in a variety of patterns.  I liked this all-purpose festive box.  I thought it went perfectly with my Confetti Cupcakes.  They even include a cupcake insert so the cupcakes won't topple over! If you really want to be coordinated, you can buy matching cupcake liners! Who wouldn't want to receive a gift that looks like this? Dr. Seuss Snacks!

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish.  I admit it.  I love Dr. Seuss!  A collection of these sing-song-y rhymes was the first thing I put on the bookshelves of our very first baby nursery.  Four kids later, I now have talents that include being able to recite The Cat In The Hat from memory! In honor of the late great Dr. Seuss (He would have been 107 on March 2nd) we are making these cute snacks!  Absolutely no skill or talent required! Simply start with a box of blue Jell-O..... and divide into four clear plastic cups. (The fish have to have a place to swim!) After the Jell-O has set, have the kids add their own fish!  (Swedish Fish, that is!) Ella's kindergarten class gets a Dr. Seuss party after they have collectively read 107 books! Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
