BOO-ing is a custom that was unfamiliar to me until I moved to The South. It's basically a cross between the May Day Basket and Ding Dong Ditch. I'm not sure who originally thought of this, but it was probably the same person that first invited Santa's Elves to come and live with them before Christmas. I'm just saying.
The Boo cycle starts sometime in October. The Boo-er puts together a bag of candy, leaves it at the door of the recipient, rings the bell and runs. Under the strictest of guidelines, each house in a neighborhood should be Boo-ed only once and should hang a sign on their door stating they have already been Boo-ed. After you have been Boo-ed, it is then your job to Boo two other neighbors until the entire neighborhood has been Boo-ed.
While these rules are fine, we prefer to just BOO all our friends! With these FREE PRINTABLES by Anders Ruff, you can have the cutest bags in the neighborhood! You can download your BOO PRINTABLES HERE.
You'll find this one...
.... and this one!
(I printed mine at 50% on card stock so they would fit in cellophane bags.)
To put together your BOO Bags, all you need is some candy (no need to go overboard, Halloween is just around the corner, after all), some pretty ribbon and cellophane bags.
Go for the cute factor, not the candy factor.
